Repeat Caller Exception

If someone really needs to reach you, they'll call again. Bloq detects this and lets the call through.

How It Works

When an unknown number calls and gets blocked, Bloq remembers it. If the same number calls again within the time window, Bloq lets it ring through. The logic is simple: spam callers move on, but someone who needs you will try again.

Configuration

  • Time window: How far back to look for previous calls. Options from 30 seconds to 30 minutes. Default: 15 minutes.
  • Minimum calls: How many previous calls are needed. Options: 1, 2, or 3. Default: 1 (second call gets through).
  • Enable/disable the feature anytime in Settings → Protection → Repeat Callers.

Example

With default settings (15-minute window, 1 minimum call): the first call from an unknown number is blocked. If the same number calls again within 15 minutes, Bloq lets it ring through.

Works With Schedules

Repeat callers can also override schedule blocking. If someone calls repeatedly during your night mode, they'll get through because it might be an emergency.

Important

Repeat callers do NOT override the blocklist. If you've explicitly blocked a number, it stays blocked no matter how many times they call.
